Set in the late 21st century, Christopher and Matilda are rebellious siblings, living in a new world where memories have been removed and all forms of art outlawed to prevent creative thinking. But Christopher has stolen back his memories, while Matilda has a grand piano in the basement to keep the music alive. The arrival of Guy, a young man who looks eerily similar to Christopher’s partner who disappeared decades ago, threatens to destroy their quiet refuge. A speculative fiction memory play about memory’s elasticity, the simultaneous horrors of knowledge and ignorance, & what we are willing to sacrifice for our autonomy.

When Tripp Taylor, an attractive and queer-presenting TikToker, is attacked in a possible hate crime, the internet reaction grows from supportive to increasingly hostile, sparking a conversation on queerbaiting and straight male worship in the age of cancel culture and Gen Z activism. An experimental and ensemble-based short film intended to be viewed on a phone, The Homiesexuals explores the avalanche of online discourse and nuanced activism through TikToks, FaceTimes, comment sections, and a myriad of other internet informational screentimes that have become our main source of connection.
